Tciccommutcrs will takc all prccautions ncccssary to sccurc confidcntial and/or proprictary <br />information and prcvcnt unauthorized acccss into any City system. <br />CityCity supplied software and /h1=lardware shall include the following: <br />• A cComputer (desktop or laptop) <br />-Virtual Private Network (VPN) <br />• ; Softphone or Cell Phone software to twin with office phone <br />• C and customary software on the desktop software <br />Insurance <br />The employee will be covered by Worker's Compensation while working at the designated <br />telecommuting work address during the hours specified in of work as indicated on the <br />Telecommuting Application. The City of Ramsey's liability is limited to injuries directly. <br />resulting directly from -the work and occurring only it the injury occurs in the designated work <br />area. CAfIy-elaims will be handled according to standardfegulaf Workers Compensation <br />procedures. If injured while telecommuting, the employee should mush follow the <br />established appropriate procedures for reporting the injury. For projects involving <br />extensive computer use, employees may request aergonomics evaluation of their <br />workspace by one of the Gi-tyCity's trained ergonomics <br />assessors. <br />Expenses <br />The City will not reimburse the employee for -any expenses incurred the employee incurs <br />to participate in telecommuting. This includes costs related to equipment, utilities, supplies <br />and furniture. however, tThe GityCity will provide a small and reasonable supply of basic <br />office items, number of office supplies (such as pens, paper, post -it notes, and paper clips for <br />use by the telecommuter. <br />Travel time from the employee's home to the regular workplace is not <br />compensatcompensableory, even if the employee is schedule to telecommute on the same <br />day.reports to the regular workplace on a day scheduled for telecommuting. <br />1O7Page <br />Formatted: Font: Not Bold <br />
