Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION#24-330 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT No. I TO PARK CONSTRUCTION <br /> COMPANY FOR 2024 MSA PAVEMENT OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS, <br /> IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #24-06 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to overlay the pavement on numerous Municipal State <br /> Aid (MSA) street segments in 2024 as identified within the 2024— 2033 Capital Improvement Program; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#23-298, adopted November 28, 2023, <br /> the City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for 2024 MSA Pavement <br /> Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project#24-06; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#24-178,adopted July 9,2024,the City <br /> Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized <br /> advertisement for bids for said improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-213, adopted August 12, 2024, a <br /> contract was awarded to Park Construction Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the amount of <br /> $162,689.38 for said improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, as of November 26,2024 $0.00 has been paid to date; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and <br /> recommends partial payment No. 1 to Park Construction Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota, for <br /> improvement project#24-06 2024 MSA Pavement Overlay Improvements,in the amount of$163,859.29. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> 1) The City Council hereby authorizes partial payment No. 1 to Park Construction Company of <br /> Minneapolis, Minnesota for Improvement Project #24-06, 2024 MSA Pavement Overlay <br /> Improvements in the amount of$163,859.29. <br /> 2) The City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to sign the release form for <br /> this payment. <br /> 3) The total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the <br /> date of November 26, 2024. <br /> 4) The City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br />
