If repairs are required,they will be included within the final plans,unless staff determines the repair needs are imminent. Additional Permitting Sunwood Drive is an MSA street, which requires review and approval by the MnDOT MSA department prior to bidding the project. Because the project goes up to the Anoka County right-of-way, and will require temporary signage within said right-of-way, an Anoka County Highway Department Right-of-Way Permit will be required. No other permits are anticipated. Project Timelines City Staff is proposing to prepare plans and specifications for this project in-house, as part of their normal duties. The following are the proposed general project timelines: November 26, 2024 City Council Authorization to prepare plans and specifications Dec 2025 Staff prepares plans and specifications December 11, 2024 Public Open House January 2025 City Council approve plans, authorize bidding Feb/Mar 2025 Bid opening, City Council award contracts Spring 2025 Begin Construction Summer 2025 Finish Construction Staff proposes to bid projects separately,but to bid and award projects as close together as practical,which generally allows for a better bidding environment for the City. Notification: If City Council orders plans and specifications for this improvement project, Staff will send notification letters to residents impacted by these improvements.
