<br />1. Planting Distance from Utilities <br /> <br />1. Trees shall be planted a minimum of 2 feet from any joint utility <br />trench whenever practicable. <br /> <br />k. Tree Preservation Tree Density Standard Calculation <br /> <br />1. All multi-family residential developments shall retain forty percent <br />(40%) of the inches of tree DBH existing on the lot after <br />subdivision. <br /> <br />2. If B:ee5-in excess of sixty percent (60%) of desirable trees are <br />removed from the plat due to construction, they shall be replaced~ <br />on a one to one basis. in addition to the required plantings <br />specified within the applicable zoning district. on a basis consistent <br />with the tree. cover reqairements as outlined in the applicable <br />multi family residential zoning district. <br /> <br />Subd.9. Replaeement of Trees. Deyelopers shall be required to <br />muintuin trees for one (1) year ufter the treeD me ph'.nted. The City shall have the right to <br />cause the removal of any dead or diseased trees on private property within the City, when <br />such trees constitute a hazard to life and property, or harbor insects or disease which <br />constitute a potential threat to other trees within the city. In the event of failure of owners <br />to comply with such provisions, the City shall have the authority to remove such trees <br />and charge the cost of removal to the property owner. <br /> <br />Subd.1. Notice to Take Action.
