<br />CASE # 106 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZE SALE OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY <br />TO <br />GM LAND COMPANY, INC. <br />By: William K. Goodrich, City Attorney <br /> <br />Background: <br />As the Council is aware the City has approved the sale of certain City owned property surrounding the <br />existing City Hall to OM Land Company for residential development and which property is being <br />platted as Meadow. This is all pursuant to the terms of a Real Estate Exchange Agreement whereby the <br />City is exchanging its property for land south of the. existing City Hall campus. A sale ordinance is <br />necessary for the sale of the City property. The Exchange Agreement has not been finalized however it <br />is close, pending resolution of certain land title issues. The sale ordinance was introduced at a previous <br />meeting. Staff would like to have the sale ordinance now adopted so that the transaction can be <br />finalized. <br /> <br />Enclosure: <br />Map showing the Meadow Plat. <br />Proposed Sale Ordinance. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Adopt motion to introduce the Sale Ordinance. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to introduce a Sale Ordinance for the sale of following legally described property: <br /> <br />Outlot A, reserving a temporary easement for ingress, egress, drainage and utility purposes lying <br />over, under and across all of said Outlot A. <br /> <br />Lots 6 - 20,22 and 23, Block 1 <br /> <br />Lot 1, Block 2, reserving a temporary easement for ingress, egress, drainage and utility purposes <br />lying over, under and across all of said Outlot A. <br /> <br />Lot 2, Block 2, reserving a temporary easement for ingress, egress, drainage and utility purposes, <br />lying over, under and across that part of said Lot described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the most southerly comer of said Lot 2; thence on an assumed bearing of North <br />30 degrees 30 minutes 00 seconds West, along the southwesterly line of said Lot 2, a distance <br />of 16.90 feet; thence North 88 degrees 19 minutes 39 seconds East, a distance of 33.17 feet, <br />to the southeasterly line of said Lot 2; thence South 57 degrees 42 minutes 27 seconds West, <br />along said southeasterly line, a distance of29.08 feet, to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />Lots 3 - 6, Block 2 <br /> <br />Lots 1 - 9, Block 3 <br /> <br />Lot 1, Block 5 <br /> <br />All in the duly recorded plat of MEADOW, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br />City Administrator <br />
