<br />Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-07-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONTRACT WITH BONNIE L. BALACH FOR 2007 <br />SPECIAL LEGISILATIVE CONSULTING SERVICES IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000 <br />WITH A TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE COUNCIL CONTENGENCY TO THE <br />BUDGET OF LEGAL SERVICES IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 25, 2005, the City authorized Bonnie L. Balach, a lobbyist, to <br />facilitate special legislation for TIF; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Balach has continued to not only represent the City regarding TIF <br />legislation, but has also presented a special port authority legislation for the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City would like to retain Ms. Balach's services during the 2007 <br />Legislative session; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, additional funding in the amount of $5,000 would be obtained with a <br />transfer from the 2006 Council Contingency Fund to the budget of Legal Services. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the contract with Bonnie L. Balach for <br />2007 legislative consulting services in the amount of $5,000 with funding from the 2006 <br />General Fund that requires a transfer from the Council Contingency Fund to the budget of <br />Legal Services. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember, and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 25th day of July, 2006. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />
