<br />Councilmember <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />COUNTY OF AN OKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING A MODIFIED DEVELOPMENT <br />PROGRAM FOR DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council (the Council) of the City of <br />Ramsey. Minnesota (the City) as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. Recitals. <br /> <br />1.01 It has been proposed that the City adopt a modified Development <br />Program for Development District No. I, pursuant to and in accordance with <br />Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.124 through 469.134 and Minnesota <br />Statutes, Sections 469.174 through 469.179. <br /> <br />1.02 The Council bas investigated tbe facts and has caused to be <br />prepared a modified Development Program for Development District No. I, <br />describing tbe actions to be undertaken by tbe City to aid the development <br />of property witbin Development District No.1. <br /> <br />1.03 Tbe City has performed all actions required by law to be <br />performed prior to tbe modification of Development District No.1. <br />including but not limited to. a review by tbe City planning staff of tbe <br />modified Development Program for Development District No. 1 and bolding a <br />public bearing regarding the Program upon sucb notice as is required by law. <br /> <br />':\ <br />1 <br />.-"J <br />i <br /> <br />1.04 The Council conducted a public bearing on August 11. 1987 to <br />consider the modification of Development District No.1. <br /> <br />1.05 Tbe modified Development Program is contained in a document <br />entitled "Modified Development Program, Development District No. I". dated <br />August 11.1987, and on file in the office of the City Administrator. <br /> <br />Section 2. Findin~s Related to the Modification of Development <br />District No.1. <br /> <br />2.01 The Council hereby finds tbat tbe modification of Development <br />District No.1 is intended, and in the judgment of ::be Council, its effect <br />will be to provide an impetus for co~mercial development in tbe City, <br />increase employment, and otherwise promote certain public purposes and <br />accomplisb certain objectives as specified in the Development Program. <br /> <br />2.02 The City bas previously adopted and modified a Program for <br />Development District No.1. Except to the extent the modified Program <br />adopted herewitb explicitly or by reasonably necessary implication amends <br />the previously modified Prog~am, such Program continues to be an expression <br />of the intent of the City. <br /> <br />'J' <br />
