Tne officers of the depertrent may consist of, but are not <br />li~mited to, a Fire Chief, P~sistant Chief, one or"more Captains, and no less <br />than ______ Fire Fighters. <br /> <br />80.02. FIRE CHIEF. <br /> <br />The Fire Chief shall have control over cll of the fire fighting apparatus ano <br />shall be ultimately responsible for its care and condition; shall assume <br />command ana responsibility for a fire when on the scene; shall supervise <br />investigation ana determination of fire cause; shall supervise'the training and <br />discipline of fire department personnel; ana shall enforce fire prevention laws <br />and safety regulations. <br /> <br />80 . 03 . P'JR..POSE. <br /> <br />Tne fire oepartment shall be est~lished for the p~rpose of theprotecti6n of <br />lives and property within the Ci~y =rom fire ana other property or life <br />threatening emergencies. Tne fire department shall provice fire prevention <br />services in accordance wi~~ stanoa~cs established by the City Council. <br /> <br />80.04. P..EOJRDS. <br /> <br />T'ne fire chief shall keep in a convenient form a completed record of all fires. <br />SUch recorc3s shall iI1cluoe the time of t.i)e alarm, location of the fire, cause <br />ef the fire, if kn~;~, tl~ of building, name of avner and ter~ti purpose for <br />which occupied, value of bu:lding and co..tents, members of the department' <br />responding to the alarm, a.."ld such other information as the fire chief mav c5eem <br />advisable or as may be required fro:r. time te time by the City Council er- State <br />insurance department. <br /> <br />80.05.
