<br />5 Minutes <br /> <br />INIROXJCE ORDINANCE AMENDI~ CITY QIAR'IER <br />By: Dave Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />CASE 19: <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Clarter Commission and the City Council have received my recommendation to <br />adjust the filing dates for the Office of Mayor and City Council to correlate <br />with State law. On June 16, 1988 the Charter Commission rev iewed that <br />recanmendation and they recanmend that the Council adopt an ordinance for that <br />purpose. <br /> <br />If the City Council introduces this ordinance and subsequently adopts it, the <br />ordinance will be law 90 days follCMing adoption if there are no petitions to <br />the contrary. '!his date will fall after this year's filing dates. Therefore, <br />it is ~ intention to follCM the proposed ordinance rather than the current <br />Charter.
