The County is indicating that <br />they ~may be willing" to consider an ordinance limiting the size and/or <br />speed of boats and motors on the Lower Rum River. They are asking that our <br />WHO and the Cities develop the basic provisions with such a limitation, and <br />they want the support of each of the member Cities. The WMO's <br />recommendations, together wi th resolutions from the Ci ties, would then be <br />sent to the County, and they would take it under consideration for <br />legislation. <br /> <br />Jim, I think the ball isin our court, and if the four member Cities <br />and the four Commissioners are desirous of such an ordinance and are uniform <br />in the type of ordinance they want, it appears the County would probably <br />enact the ordinance. <br /> <br />If I can be of further help or assistance, please contact me. <br /> <br />./1e5i truly Your~,v <br /> <br />((<-.7:-W~:d f.*'---- <br />~tlS A.
