<br />Councilmember <br />adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #88- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF OUTDOOR WARNING SIRENS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids f or outdoor warning <br />sirens, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law, and the <br />following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Electric Systems of Anoka, Inc. <br />Federal Signal Corporation <br /> <br />$130,695.00 <br />$162,918.00 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Electric Systems of Anoka, Inc. is the <br />lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into a contract with Electric Systems of Anoka, Inc. in <br />the name of the City of Ramsey for the purchase of outdoor warning sirens and <br />their installation according to the specifications therefore approved by the <br />Ramsey City Council and on file in the office of the City Administrator/Clerk. <br /> <br />2) That the City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and <br />directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids <br />except that the deposit of the successful bidder shall be retained until a <br />contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council this the 28th day of June, 1988. <br />
