Charles LaDue <br /> <br />~ r:ro ORD~ <br /> <br />Chairman Zinunerrnan called the continuation of the public hearing to order <br />at 8:54 p.m. <br /> <br />CI'I'I~EN INPUl' <br /> <br />Chairman Zinunerrnan and City Attorney Goodrich noted receiving letters from <br />Beverly Bilbin (see Attachment A), Kay McCulley (see Attachment B) and <br />Jacqueline Eastwood (see Attachment C). <br /> <br />Carol Brash - 5440 l56th Lane - Inquired as to hO\o,l many Ramsey reslaents <br />/I.tlas would be hiring right away and the prop:>sed wage scale. <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Labat - Atlas Incinerators - Stated that Atlas has received <br />several job applications fran Ramsey residents; sane of the applicants have <br />already been interviewed. Atlas intenas to hire one or two addi tioncl <br />employees \'dthin one week ano plans to hire 6 to 12 persons within 60 days <br />and another 6 to 10 persor.s shortly after the first of the year. Beginning <br />""age scale is about $14,OOO/year for clerical ana $7.00/hour in the plant. <br />y~. Lcbat stated that Atlas needs skilled people and doesn't hire at <br />minimum "-'age because it creates too much of a turn over in personnel. <br /> <br />John Beinen - 6370 l43rd Lane - stated that he has met with representatives <br />of Atlas a.110 he believes it is a good company that is needed in Ramsey. <br />!vir.
