The proposed ordinance would also <br />call for an increase in the amount of fees and the value of property the <br />city can require for park dedication. <br />Commissioner Shumway also noted that there is a lack of communication and <br />follow -up action between the Park Commission and City Staff because of the <br />time lapse involved with the Community Education department being <br />responsible for Park Commission meeting minutes. <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Holm to <br />recommend that City Council approve of a City Staff secretary taking Park <br />Commission meeting minutes and providing staff with direction resulting <br />from those meetings. <br />Notion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Terry, <br />Shumway, Holm, Howell and LaDue. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner <br />Hendriksen. <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Shumway to <br />recommend that as an addendum to the March 22, 1988 meeting, City Council <br />consider the Park Commission's recommendation for an emergency ordinance to <br />increase the park dedication requirements and allow the City the <br />flexibility to require a combination of land and fees in order that plats <br />before the Planning and Zoning Commission can be dealt with in an <br />acceptable time frame. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Shumway, <br />Terry, Holm, Howell and LaDue. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner <br />Hendriksen. <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br />Commissioner Howell requested that the Building Official attend Board of <br />Adjustment meetings. <br />ADJOUR?M'W <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Holm to adjourn <br />the special Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. <br />Motion carried.
