<br />.I <br /> <br />CASE 11: ~~~~~A~=~= <br /> <br />Due to a recent increase in requests for variances to the lraxiwurr <br />size of accessory structures, the City Council has requested a <br />joint Jreeting with the Planning and Zoning CoJrTission to review <br />this section of the zoning ordinance. <br /> <br />Presently, Balrsey Ordinance '79-4 asrends Chapter l70.0l4B of the <br />Ci ty Q)de regarding the size of accessory structures as follows. <br /> <br />1. No single accessory structure or total of all accessory <br />structures shall be larger than 624 square feet if <br />located on a plroel of land 2-1/2 acres or less in size. <br /> <br />2. No single acoessory structure or total of all accessory <br />structures shall be larger than 1200 square feet if <br />located on a parcel of land larger than 2-1/2 acres in <br />size. <br /> <br />In addition, Ordinance '79-4 ~ends Section 170.0111 regarding <br />the definition of garages as follows: <br /> <br />An attached garage, or a detached garage where the <br />dwelling does not have an attached garage, and which <br />attached or detached garage does not exceed 864 square <br />feet shall not be considered an accessory building. <br /> <br />Attached for your inforlration is a cowparison of other <br />co~unities regulation of accessory structures in residential <br />districts. <br />
