Mr. Sentyrz stated that it is a normal ply of Metro Council to throw
it in at the last minute, that one of Metro Council IS avenues of gaining
support is slipping it in at the last minute.

Mr. Cox stated that an incineration facility does.-.not have to be an offensive
facility, that so many citizens spoke up at the, Hazardous Waste Public. Hearing
before they had studied the matter thoroughly.

Mr. Greenberg inquired as to just how much hazJtdous waste is generated in the
City of Ramsey, that he has many requests from persons to purchase his waste
oil and paint thinner "

Mr. Sentyrz inquired if there would be a limitation as to how far away from
Ramsey could hazardous waste be transported in.

Commission consensus is that out-of-State hazardous waste would have to be
accepted in order to make the facility a profitable one.

Mr. Sentyrz stated that the Metro Council is 1800 out-of-phase in regards to
how they are approaching this matter. He further commented that the companies
generating the hazardous waste should create their" own on-site facility
instead of transporting the waste through residential areas.

Mayor Gamec stated that Mr. Sentyrz should be directing his remarks to the
Waste Management Board.

Mr. Sentyrz replied that Metro Council is working hand-in-hand with the
Waste Management Board.

Mr. Greenberg called for any citizen input.

Susan Beale - Agreed with Mr. Sentyrz' comments.

Motion by Commissioner Cox and seconded by Commissioner Guy in support of
Resolution #83-11a, that in the best interest of the overall community
we should certainly not endorse anything of this nature intor our area.

Motion carried.
