It can generate taxes, <br />provide jobs and attract additional industry. I also believe it can become <br />a serious liability. Its liability lies in the inability of the regulatory agencies <br />to make accurate long term projections concerning the environmental <br />impact that such a facility would have. The biggest gains economically <br />seem to be with the highest risk facilities. <br /> <br />I cannot, therefore, support the motion of a waste treatment endorsement <br />l' purely economic basis.
