<br />Councilmember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-02-067 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPRAISAL OF DAMAGES FOR THE <br />ACQUISITION OF PERMANENT EASEMENTS FOR STREET PURPOSES FOR THE <br />IMPROVEMENT OF POTASSIUM STREET NW. <br /> <br />WHERAS, pursuant to its Resolution 06- , the City Council authorized the <br />commencement of an eminent domain action for acquisition of, permanent easements as described <br />jin said resolution. (the "Subject Property"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owners of the Subject Property have been identified as shown in the table <br />in paragraph 1. below. The purpose of the acquisition is to acquire from the owners the permanent <br />easements necessary for the of the improvement of Potassium Street NW; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as a part of the process to acquire the Subject Property the City authorized <br />that the Subject Property be appraised to determine the damages incurred by the owners as a result <br />of the taking by the City of the permanent easements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City's appraiser has completed appraisals of the Subject Property. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council hereby approves the appraisals of value of the Subject Property in the <br />amounts identified below, to wit: <br /> <br />PIN Property Owner Damage <br /> Appraisal <br />23-32-25-12-0006 Terry and Mary Lamont (fee owner) $10,100.00 <br />& Milton and Delores Weichelt (easement <br />23-32-25-13-0005 interest) <br />23-32-25-12-0007 David and Jean Mott $1,060.00 <br />23-32-25-12-0008 Patrick Hampton subject to life estate of June $11,300.00 <br /> Hampton <br />23-32-25-12-0002 Randy and Cynthia Oien $0.00 <br />23-32-25-12-0001 David and Linda Johnson $0.00 <br /> <br />2) That the City Council authorizes City Staff to negotiate with the Property Owners and offer <br />to purchase the respective easements which are defined as the Subject Property for the <br />amounts as determined by the appraisals. <br /> <br />Resolution #06-02-067 <br />Page 2 of2 <br />
