<br />Councilmember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-04-121 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION GRANTING AUTHORIZATION TO BEGIN THE RECRUITMENT <br />PROCESS FOR A PATROL OFFICER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Police Chief has expressed a need to hire an additional patrol officer; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has designated funding in the 2006 budget to support this <br />position; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff has requested authorization to begin the recruitment process for a <br />patrol officer. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee <br />to do the following: <br /> <br />Grant staff authorization to begin the recruitment process for a patrol officer. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Pearson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />
