<br />Councilmember Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-04-126 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF COUNCIL CONTINGENCY FUNDS <br />FOR CMAQ GRANT COLLABORATIVE CELEBRATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the cities of Anoka and Ramsey have received confirmation that the Met <br />Council will be awarding CMAQ grants to both communities for transit improvements in the <br />Northstar Corridor; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, specifically the City of Ramsey will be receiving 4.5 million to fund an <br />additional 200 parking stalls at the currently under-construction Municipal Parking Facility and <br />two Northstar commuter buses to provide express bus service to downtown Minneapolis during <br />the AM/PM peak hours; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a collaborative celebration with the cities of Anoka and Ramsey has been <br />scheduled for Monday, May 8th, 2006 from 5PM-7PM at the Links at Northfork. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes the use of Council Contingency <br />funds not to exceed $2000.00 for expenses for the CMAQ Grant Award Collaborative <br />Celebration. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Jeffrey, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br />
