<br />Councilmember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # 06-04-139 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTRACT WITH BKV GROUP IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF $10,500 *FUNDING SOURCE EQUIPMENT REVOLVING FUND) FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR PLANNING FOR TEMPORARY RE-USE OF <br />EXISTING CITY HALL AND FIRE STATION NO.2 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 4, 2005, Council authorized staff to solicit a proposal from <br />BKV Group, the City's architects for the new Municipal Center, as well as the past analysis of <br />the existing municipal center facility, to assist with the analysis for demolition and/or renovation <br />of the existing municipal center; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, BKV Group provided a proposal that would explore the <br />renovation/demolition options for the Municipal Center facility and address the continued <br />operation of Fire Station No.2 on the site and the proposal was approved at the regular meeting <br />of November 7,2005; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, since that time, staff has met with BKV representatives regarding the <br />project and it has become apparent that additional planning for the eventual re-construction of <br />Fire Station No.2 may be warranted at this time; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, BKV Group has submitted a revised proposal that would include site <br />assessment and concept planning for Fire Station No.2. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council authorizes contracting with the BKV Group to assist with <br />the analysis for the temporary re-use of the existing municipal center and site assessment <br />and concept planning for Fire Station No.2 in an amount of$10,500.00, plus expenses. <br /> <br />2) That the funding source for the services is the Equipment Revolving Fund. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Olson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />
