Councilmember Cox stated that he indicated to Ms. Skarbakka <br />that he would be in favor of the permit if there were an absolute time period <br />placed on it. <br /> <br />flbtion by Counci1member Cox and seconded by Counci1member Sorteberg to adopt <br />the findings of fact and approve Ms. Skarbakka' s request for a condi tional use <br />permi t to operate an accounting business fran her haDe contingent upon her <br />entering into a ooOOitional use permit agreement with the City. Further, one <br />of the conditions of the pennit agreement will be that the permit shall expire <br />after a bio year period with no option for rel'lafal. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Bartiey stated that Council can set a time period for <br />review of the permi t but cannot refuse the option for permit renewal. <br />Counci1member Cox stated that under those circ\Jl\stances, he is not that <br />interested in issuing the permi t. Ms. Baas stated that <br />the Greater Anoka County BlJI\ane Society is a private, norrprofit organization <br />seeking funds to oonstruct a building on donated land located on Bwy. '242. <br />Ms. Baas stated that under State Statute, cities can levy $.SO/person for <br />hlJDane causes. <br /> <br />Bernie Fennell - Executive Director for the Greater Anoka County BlJI\ane Society <br />- Stated that the building to be oonstructed will serve 13,000 animals per year <br />March 25, 1986 <br /> <br />Page 4 of 15 <br />
