Absent: CoWlci1member Sd"Alueter. <br /> <br />('A~ 'Ch Off- Sal~ Lionor r,icpn~ ('1')l'lf::i~ration! <br /> <br />Mr. CUrtis Olesler was present requesting that the Ci ty consider increasing the <br />mlDber of off-sale liquor licenses available in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the mltlber of off-sale liquor licenses is linli ted to <br />two by Ordinance '78-21 those two have been issued for qui te sane time1 the <br />mltlber of off-sale liquor licenses available is the perrogative of the local <br />governing body. <br /> <br />Clief Aus~s stated that increasing the mltlber of off-sale facili ties would not <br />be a problem for the ~lice dep:lrbDent1 on-sale establishments are more of a <br />problem. <br /> <br />Mr. Olesler stated that he has met with Lyle McLaughlin regarding opening an <br />off-sale liquor store in the new strip shopping center be built on Bwy. '47. <br /> <br />Mr. Bartley stated that if the ordinance is amended to allow one or more <br />addi tional off-sale liquor licenses, all applications for that addi tional <br />license (s) must be accepted and a>nsidered. <br /> <br />ft>tion by CoWlci1menber Reimann and seconded by CoWlcilmember Cox directing <br />Ci ty Staff to develop a pro~sed ordinance amendnent increasing the mltlber of <br />off-sale liquor licenses available in Ramsey to three (3). <br /> <br />ft>tion carried.
