<br />CASE #1: <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR VARIANCE FROM SECTION 170.076 OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE <br />TO ENCROACH ON THE REQUIRED SETBACK FROM THE RUM RIVER; <br />CASE OF MR. DEAN HANSON <br />By: Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Dean Hanson is requesting a variance in order to construct a home on <br />Lot 4, Block 1, Reilley Estates. This property is located in the Scenic <br />River Overlay District. <br /> <br />Mr. Hanson is requesting a variance to locate a home approximately 103 feet <br />from the Rum River. Section 170.076 of the City Code requires structures <br />to be located no closer than 150 feet to the Rum River. The structure on <br />the adjacent property to the south is located approximately 80 feet from <br />the Rum River and the structure on the adjacent property to the north is <br />located approximately 127 feet from the Rum River.
