Voting No: None. <br /> <br />"\ <br />__.J <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca noted that at this same time last year there was <br />discussion regarding having the Charter Commission review tbe necessity of <br />tbat requirement in tbe City Cbarter for precinct liaisons and annual <br />precinct meetings because of tbe absence of citizen response to precinct <br />meetings. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmemher DeLuca to direct -the Charter Commission to review <br />and report back to City Council regarding the necessity for the precinct <br />liaison and annual meetings required in the City Charter. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Hartley noted that tbe Cbarter includes a process <br />by wbich City Council can initiate a Charter amendment. <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca witbdrew his motion. <br /> <br />Council requested that staff craft an ordinance, for Council consideration <br />on January 26, 1988, that would eliminate City Charter requirements for <br />precinct liaisons and precinct annual meetings.
