<br />Mr. Hartley suggested that Council might want to req est a response from <br />the Anoka Champlin Fire Department regarding the F're Safety Committee <br />Report. <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br /> <br />From the review and discussion of the report tha~ e sued, the following <br />direction resulted: <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />The City Administrator and the Finance Offi er should meet with <br />two representatives of the Fire Safety C mmittee to outline <br />additional information needed by City Counci on which to base a <br />decision regarding whether or not a volunfeer fire department <br />should be established in Ramsey. Particularl~areas of information <br />needing refining are. the organizational and [inanCing aspects of a <br />volunteer fire department. <br /> <br />The Fire Safety Committee shall then rec nvene to review and <br />refine the additional information needed a an addendum to the <br />Fire Safety Committee Report. <br /> <br />c). Staff will report to City Council, by the end of January, the <br />schedule established for the preparation of the addendum to the <br />Fire Safety Co~ittee Report. <br /> <br />1 <br />~'": <br /> <br />d) The target date for Council having the addit'onal information on <br />which to base their decision regarding th establishment of a <br />volunteer fire department is March, 1988. <br /> <br />e) The Road and Bridge Committee should meet to review MSA priorities <br />for 1988/89. <br /> <br />Council commended the Fire Safety Committee for the time and effort they <br />put into preparing an excellent report. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Cou, cilmembe;- Pearson to <br />to adjourn the special City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
