<br />CASE #3: <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT AN ADVERTISING SIGN; <br />CASE OF BREEZY OUTDOOR, INC. <br />By: Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Breezy Outdoor, Inc. is requesting a conditional use permit to construct an <br />advertising sign at 7009 Hwy. #10 N.W. This property is owned by Mr. Larry <br />Rudesill. The proposed sign will be located appro~imately 5 feet from the <br />property line. This property is approximately one acre in size. The sign <br />is proposed to be constructed with two faces, each approximately 300 square <br />feet in area. <br /> <br />Section 170.054 of the City Code states that free standing advertising <br />signs shall be permitted on parcels where the subject activity is located <br />or within 2500 feet of the parcel on which the subject activity is located. <br />In any case, no advertising signs may be constructed without a conditional <br />use permit. <br /> <br />For your information, enclosed are the following items: <br /> <br />a. Proposed conditional use permit <br /> <br />~. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />As you recall, in 1987 the Commission reviewed Mr. Jim Franklin's request <br />for a conditional use permit to construct an advertising sign on Hwy. #10 <br />and recommended that the request be denied.
