Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #06 -08 - <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0 TO A REQUEST <br />TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R -2 MEDIUM RESIDENTIAL TO R -I <br />RESIDENTIAL. <br />WHEREAS, the City received an application from E & G Development, LLC, to rezone <br />certain property in accordance with Section 9.03.03 (Zoning Amendments) of the Ramsey City <br />Code; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. That E & G Development, LLC, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant," has properly applied <br />to rezone certain property from R -2 Medium Density Residential to R -1 Residential. <br />2 That the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.03 of <br />the City Code on July 10. 2006, and said public hearing was properly advertised, and the <br />minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. <br />3. That the property proposed to be rezoned is legally described as follows: <br />Outlot B, AMBER RIDGE, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />4. That the total area of the property to be rezoned is approximately 2 acres in size. <br />5. That the proposed rezoning is located within the Urban Service Area. <br />6. That the Subject Property is currently zoned R -2 Medium Density Residential which <br />permits up to 7 dwelling units per acre. <br />7. That the adjacent properties to the north and east are zoned R -1 Residential and are <br />developed within the 3 units per acre restriction; the adjacent property to the south is zoned <br />R -2 Medium Density Residential, undeveloped, owned by the City, and contains wetlands; <br />the adjacent property to the west is T.H. #47. <br />8. That the Applicant is proposing to rezone the Subject Property to R -1 Residential and <br />develop it with single family dwelling units, which are not permitted in the R -2 Residential <br />district. <br />9. That on February 2, 2006, and February 21, 2006, the Planning Commission and the City <br />Council, respectively, reviewed the sketch plan for the proposed subdivision and expressed <br />support of the proposal to develop the Subject Property with single family dwelling units. <br />
