• Clarify that only developable areas are required to be included in the tree inventory. • Require that the tree preservation plan be overlayed on the grading plan. • Clarify that the replacement requirements of the Tree Preservation Tree Density Standard Calculation in multi - family developments require trees to be replaced on a one to one basis if more than sixty percent (60%) of the DBH inches are removed from the site for construction purposes. • Allow SAF Certified Foresters, in addition to ISA Certified Arborists, to perform tree inventories. • Eliminate the definitions of `boulevard', which is defined in the general definitions section of Chapter 9, and `zoning buffer', which is synonymous with density transitioning, and add a definition of SAF Certified Forester. • Eliminate the requirement of biodegradable tree tubes for new plantings. • Eliminate language concerning a developer's responsibility to maintain trees for one year after installation. • Reference the vision clearance triangle rather than specifying a planting distance from intersections. • Eliminate the language concerning green, uncovered elm or pine wood as well as the language about Dutch Elm Disease and Oak Wilt infected trees needing to be removed from site, which is discussed in Chapter 5. SECTION 4 EFFECTIVE DATE The effective date of this ordinance is thirty (30) days after its passage and publication, subject to City Charter Section 5.07.
