Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #06- 08 -XXX <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 05 -41 <br />MUNICIPAL WELLS 7 & 8 <br />WHEREAS, on June 27, 2006 the Ramsey City Council adopted a resolution accepting <br />plans and specifications and authorizing the solicitation of bids; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project 05 -41, <br />Municipal Wells 7 & 8, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br />WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the bids that were received: <br />Bidder Bid <br />E. H. Renner & Sons $711,822.00 <br />Traut Wells $761,875.00 <br />Engineers Estimate $730,000.00 <br />WHEREAS, E. H. Renner & Sons is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into <br />an agreement with E. H. Renner & Sons for Improvement Project 05 -41, Municipal Wells <br />7 & 8 in the amount of$711,822.00, and <br />2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />RESOLUTION #06- 08 -XXX <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
