F.C.CASE # Consider Change Order for Streetscape Improvements Adjacent to Municipal Center James E. Norman, City Administrator Heidi Nelson, Assistant City Administrator Brian E. Olson, Director of Public Works / Principal City Engineer As discussed at the Work Session last Thursday, the Municipal Center and the Municipal Parking Facility are nearing completion. Last week we received correspondence from the Ramsey Town Center LLC (attached) that requests that the City complete the construction of the streetscape improvements adjacent to those projects. The Contractors that are performing the work at the Municipal Center outside of the Right of Way are currently working on those improvements. It is critical that to issue a change directive to those Contractors before they are finished with their work so it does not require them to remobilize. The City has been requested to provide a bill to the Ramsey Town Center, LLC as the ultimate funding source. These improvements have been estimated at $228,500. This is an estimate and we hope to have an actual amount for the meeting on Tuesday night. Staff recommends approval of a change order for a not to exceed amount of $228,500 for the streetscape improvements adjacent to the new Municipal Center. This amount will be paid for with Construction contingencies from the Ramsey Municipal Center ($198,900) and the Municipal Parking Facility ($29,600). Upon completion of the work, the City will then bill the Ramsey Town Center as per their request. Council Action: Motion for approval of a change order for a not to exceed amount of $228,500 for the streetscape improvements adjacent to the new Municipal Center.
