Lots of children and families <br />· Native and endangered species and wildlife <br />· Overpopulated schools <br />· Respectful of the individual <br />· Growing industrial sector <br />· Lack of code enforcement <br />· Needs more money for education system (to support large youth population) <br /> <br />We have generally summarized the characteristics of Ramsey as folloY's: <br /> <br />Ramsey is= <br />· Young families. <br />· A place where urban lifestyle meets rural. <br />· A clean and safe community. <br />· A wealth of natural resources and open space. <br />· A bedroom community. <br />· A community with some negative aspects to overcome (landfill, used car lots, junk <br />cars, billboards). <br /> <br />VISIONING EXERCISE - What does this place want to be? <br /> <br />In the Visioning Exercise the small groups were asked to identify, both individually and <br />as a group, what characteristics comprise a vision for the future community of Ramsey? <br />Each small group discussed their visions, arrived at five conclusions and presented their <br />characteristics at the "Vision Wall", Some groups identified the same characteristics. <br />The following is a verbatim list of those characteristics as categorized by the large group= <br /> <br />Housing- <br />· Encourage owner occupied housing <br />· Maintain large lots/cluster housing <br />. .Keep owner occupied housing <br />.
