If" "...' j4t. <br /> <br />mil <br />~n <br /> <br />Hoisington Koegler Group Inc. <br /> <br />page <br />36 <br /> <br />2.0 Analyze Trends, Forces and Issues <br /> <br />The purpose of this task will be to determine the forces that <br />have shaped and will continue to shape the City of Ramsey, to <br />analyze trends and to identify issues that need to be resolved <br />during the course of the planning process. <br /> <br />Subtasks will include the following: <br /> <br />2.1 Updating- demog-raphic and economic information. The <br />purpose of this task will be to work with the City Staff to <br />bring all demographic and economic information up-to-date <br />as of 1997. This will include current estimates of population, <br />employment and households, which information will serve as <br />the basis for forecasting. <br /> <br />2.2 Analysis. This subtask will include the analysis of trends and <br />. the identification of forces that will likely impact the City and <br />its growth. <br /> <br />2.3 Report preparation. This subtask will include the preparation <br />of a trends, forces and issues report illustrating the findings <br />of this task for use by visioning session participants. <br /> <br />2.4 Meeting-s with City Staff and Planning- Commission. One <br />meeting estimated each. <br /> <br />3.0 Understand the Vision - Getting the public involved <br /> <br />The purpose of this task will be to build a vision and have the <br />public answer the question, "What Does this Place Want to <br />Be?". <br /> <br />Subtasks will include the following: <br /> <br />3.1 A public information meeting-. The purpose of this subtask <br />will be to inform the general public about the purpose, process <br />and schedule for comprehensive planning and to inform them <br />of how and when they will be expected to participate. <br /> <br />3.2 A Visioning- session. This will include the design and <br />facilitation of one City-wide visioning session to include all <br />comprehensive planning interests. It will be designed to <br />identify issues and define and agree on a shared vision as the <br />framework for place appropriate planning.
