-158 — <br />Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #06-08 - <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FROM SCOTT JOHNSON FOR A HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT TO <br />ESTABLISH AN IN -HOME FAMILY -RUN WHOLESALE BAKERY ON THE <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT 5560 144 AVENUE NW. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Scott Johnson for a home <br />occupation permit to operate a family -run wholesale bakery within the dwelling on the property <br />generally known as 5560 144 Avenue NW and legally described as follows: <br />Lot 18, Block 4, The Ponds of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />(the "Subject Property") <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br />1:. That on July 14, 2006, Scott Johnson, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant ", properly <br />applied for a home occupation permit to establish and operate a family -run wholesale <br />bakery in the basement of his home. <br />2. That the Applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public <br />hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.05 of the City Code on August 3, 2006 and that said <br />public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are <br />hereby incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. <br />3. That the Subject Property is zoned R -1 Single Family Residential (MUSA). <br />4. That the Subject Property is approximately 0.25 acres in size. <br />5. That wholesale bakeries are not a permitted use in the R -1 Single Family Residential <br />District. <br />6. That the Applicant has provided documentation to support that the home occupation will <br />be conducted within the private dwelling on the property, that the area set aside for the <br />home occupation does not exceed 20% of the total floor area of the private dwelling, and <br />the operation will not include any employment of persons not residing in the private <br />dwelling in the performance of the home occupation. <br />7 That the Applicant will reside at the location of the proposed home occupation. <br />8. That the Applicant has stated that there will be no exterior storage of business equipment <br />and materials. <br />
