<br />B. 01.Jtional Services <br /> <br />(1) Optional Services defined. The City may select Optional Services to be <br /> <br />provided by Connexus. For the purposes of this Agreement, the term '"Optional Services" shall <br /> <br />be defined to include: <br /> <br />(a) Meter reading service. The optional meter reading service shall include <br /> <br />meter reading for purposes of billing, new services, transfers, verification <br /> <br />and investigation. Connexus shall not be required to provide meter <br /> <br />reading service if there is any danger to the meter reader or the meter is not <br /> <br />,accessible on the outside of the building. Connexus meter readers shall <br /> <br />not be required to enter a building. Connexus must receive 24-hour notice <br /> <br />to read a meter for a customer transfer. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />The City shall maintain its remote meter reading system in good working <br /> <br />condition and will use its best efforts to repair any defective meter unit <br /> <br />before the next meter reading cycle. If the remote meter reading system <br /> <br />does not function satisfactorily or is improperly installed, Connexus will <br /> <br />not be required to read the meter. For new installations, Connexus prefers <br /> <br />that the remote pad be located by the electric meter. <br /> <br />(b) Collection service. The optional collection service shall include sending <br /> <br />disconnect notices to customers who have a 60-day balance, responding to <br /> <br />customer inquires, calling customers who have not paid, and setting up <br /> <br />4 <br />
