<br />CASE # 7 <br /> <br />RESCHEDULE NOVEMBER MEETING <br />By: J 0 Thieling, Recording Secretary <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Staff has been informed that a portion of the City will be included for an Anoka-Hennepin <br />School District Election. That portion includes Precinct 2 which normally votes in the Council <br />Chambers at Ramsey City Hall. We will also be the host polling place for the City of Oak Grove <br />and Bums Township. <br /> <br />The date of the election is Tuesday, November 4, 1997, which is also the date of the regular <br />Planning Commission meeting. According to State Statutes, Chapter 204C.03, Subdivision 1, no <br />school board, county board of commissioners, city council, or town board of supervisors shall <br />conduct a meeting between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00'p.m. on the day that an election is held within the <br />boundaries of the school district, county, city or town. <br /> <br />Staff is requesting that you consider either rescheduling your November meeting to a different <br />night or leaving it on the 4th, with a start time of 8:00 p.m., in the lower level of City Hall. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to reschedule the regular meeting of the Planning Commission to 7:30 p.m., on <br />, November _,1997. <br /> <br />- or- <br /> <br />Motion to hold the meeting on November 4, but to begin at 8:00 p.m., in the lower level of City <br />Hall. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />Recording Secretary <br />Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />PC: 08/05/97 <br /> <br />/jmt <br /> <br />CouncilICommissionsIPlanning/reschpc.doc <br /> <br />~, <br />
