Lens is a dear tempered. <br />impact resistant. glass held in place with <br />sealant and retaining clips. A continuous <br />gasket seals the door assembly to the <br />housing. <br />Mounting - An extruded aluminum <br />arm, using four bolts, is provided for rigid <br />attachment of luminaire to pole. <br />Optical Assemblies - Specular ano- <br />dized aluminum reflectors provide <br />square symmetrical (type V). forward <br />throw (type IV) or narrow asymmetrical <br />(types I and Ill) lighting patterns. <br />Reflector is mounted with hinges and <br />captive locking screws into housing for <br />easy access to ballast. <br />Ballast Assembly - Starting rated to <br />-20oF. Ballasts for Metal Halide are con- <br />stant wattage autotransformer type. <br />Ballasts for High Pressure Sodium are <br />constant wattage autotransformer type <br />using an electronic starter. Ballasts are <br />mounted directly to die-cast housing for <br />reduced temperature and increased life. <br />All ballasts are high power factor. <br />Lamps - Luminaires accommodate <br />Metal Halide and High Pressure Sodium <br />mogul base lamps. <br />Lampholder - Mogul base glazed <br />porcelain socket with spring loaded, <br />nickel plated center contact and rein- <br />forced lamp grip screw shell. High <br />Pressure Sodium sockets are pulse <br />rated. <br />Finish - Durable baked-on polyester <br />paint finish ;s available in 10 standard <br />colors.
