A copy of the draft Central Rural Reserve Study is included in <br />your packet. The open house on August 17, 2006 was well-attended, with over 250 people <br />attending. Staff is still collecting surveys from the participants of this open house. <br /> <br />Housing Survey. The Ramsey HRA sent out a housing survey to a random sample of Ramsey <br />residents this week. The purpose of the survey is to collect data about housing priorities. The <br />data will eventually be incorporated into the HRA housing plan. <br /> <br />August City Council meeting review. The following is a brief summary of actions taken by the <br />City Council that may be of interest to the Planning Commission: <br /> <br />Interim Use Permit to allow a drive-thru facility in the Ramsey Office Plaza in the TC-l Core <br />Area of Town Center. The City Council granted the interim use permit for a drive-thru for a <br />period of 5 years, renewable based on established criteria. <br /> <br />Request for Preliminary Plat, Site Plan, rezoning to PUD, and Comprehensive Plan Amendment <br />for Skyline Pointe. The City Council tabled action on these cases and directed Staff to work with <br />the County to explore options for upgrades to the County transportation system (Nowthen <br />Boulevard). The City Council would like a report on any transportation upgrades that are <br />possible before making a decision regarding this development. This is tentatively scheduled to <br />come back to Council on September lih, but may be on the September 26th agenda, depending <br />on Staff's discussion with the County. <br /> <br />Request for Exception from the Development Moratorium, Case of Ron Tallman of Wild Oaks. <br />The City Council did not look favorably upon a request from Ron Tallman to receive exemption <br />from the development moratorium and move forward with the cluster subdivision for Wild Oaks. <br />The City Council directed staff to draft findings to bring back to a later reading. This is <br />scheduled for the September lih Council meeting. .' <br /> <br />Preliminary Plat, Comprehensive Plan Amendment, and Rezoning for Amber Ridge '2nd Addftion. <br />The City Council approved these requests at the August 8th meeting. <br /> <br />85 <br />
