• Increase in Thefts <br />Ramsey Police Department Monthly Report <br />July 2006 <br />General Police Statistics and Highlights <br />Animal Control <br />Eleven dogs were impounded in July. Nine were released to their owners, one was <br />adopted and one was euthanized. <br />• Intern Hire <br />Kristin Reider was hired as a police department intern. She will assist with National <br />Night Out and other crime prevention programs. <br />■ APS Upgrade <br />The Automated Pawn System was upgraded with a new release, enhancing search <br />capabilities for investigations. <br />There has been an increase in thefts from motor vehicles and gas drive offs. A notice of <br />the increase in thefts and a reminder to residents to contact the police if they see any <br />suspicious activity is being placed in the upcoming issue of the Ramsey Resident. <br />
