<br />Civil Engineer II Linton stated that Three Rivers park's have that in some of their <br />larger areas. <br /> <br />Commissioner LaMere stated more of the comments he hears now is asking when a <br />trail is going. to be fInished. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock asked because a lot of the land around Trott Brook was <br />dedicated as outlots, what kind of guidelines do they have and why can the City develop <br />a boardwalk and trail but a homeowner cannot do that. <br /> <br />_ Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated homeowners can put boardwalks out to <br />open water. The trails themselves have minimal impact on the environment. Also, <br />there is the Wetland Buffering Ordinances which helps protect wetlands. The <br />introduction of natural spaces to people is a positive action. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hansen asked with the new parks they. are developing, is there thought <br />about adding lights to them or to some of the existing parks. He noted the reason he <br />was asking was because if Diamonds Bar sells their land, they may be able to get the <br />lighting and fencing for their parks. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns stated they usually take their cue from the associations and how <br />stressed the fIelds are for play. She thought the preference of residents was not'to have <br />lights at the parks. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated there are a number of different aspects to <br />lighting fields. They can build around fIve fields for the amount they could light one <br />fIeld. Lights limit the configuration of the fIelds and then there is the neighborhood <br />concern. Another point is lights promote late practices by coaches. <br /> <br />COMl\1ISSION/ST AFF INPUT <br /> <br />Civil Engineer' II Linton reviewed with the Commission the e~pected land uses relating <br />to the Ramsey Crossings. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated within the Park ClP plan for 2006 there is <br />a proposal for new play equipment at Titterud.
