Eligible sick leave severance shall includes Earned Sick and Safe Times- It willshall be defined as <br />a lump_ sum payment upon termination of employment, contributed to the PEHCSP, based on the <br />following percentages of the employee's unused, accumulated sick leave: <br />• 33% after 5 years of regular employment <br />• 45% after 10 years of regular employment <br />• 50% after 15 years of regular employment <br />thirty three (33) percent of employee's unused, accumulated sick leave after five (5) years of <br />continuous employment. After fifteen (15) years of continuous employment, the employee will <br />instead receive thirty five (35) percent of said employee's unused, accumulated sick leave. _After <br />twenty (20) years of continuous employment, the employee will instead receive thirty seven (37) <br />the employee will instead receive forty ('10) percent of said employee's unused, accumulated sick <br />lcavc. In order to obtainTo qualify for eligible ESST sick leave severance pay, an employee must <br />leave CityCity employment in "good standing,", as provided in Policy 3.13. <br />4.9 Employee Assistance Program <br />The CityCity offers an Eemployee Aassistance program (EAP) at no cost to assist employees and <br />their families with -a variety of services, including from mental health and substance abuse <br />counseling3 to child care resources etc.— The EAP will provides confidential counseling services <br />by highly trained clinicians or may suggest other professional resources that could -nay be a9eful <br />beneficial to employees and their families. <br />171Page <br />
