This unit is also equipped to function as a mobile command post <br />during emergency incidents. The vehicle will be 7 years old at the time of replacement. The Fire Department attempts to keep the Asst Fire Chief vehicle on a 7-year replacement cycle for the purpose of maintaining a reliable piece <br />of equipment and limiting repair cost.
