Daily operations include coordination and
performance of all maintenance repairs on City -owned vehicles and equipment (electric, gas and diesel). The
lead mechanic will ensure timely completion of all maintenance and repair projects; manage the recordkeeping
for all shop activities and assist with administrative duties related to the shop budget, parts and supplies
inventory. The position reports to the Public Works Streets Supervisor.
Attachment: Lead Mechanic Job Description
Funding Source:
The funding required for this action has been accounted for in the 2025 budget.
Recommendation:
To promote Mr. Doug Polzin from Mechanic to Lead Mechanic, effective January 1, 2025, at step 5 of the Lead
Mechanic wage scale, which is $43.032 per hour.
Outcome/Action:
Motion to promote Mr.Doug Polzin from Mechanic to Lead Mechanic, effective January 1, 2025, at step 5 of the
Lead Mechanic wage scale, which is $43.032 per hour.
Lead Mechanic JD
Attachments
Form Review
