<br />The subject property will serve as the entrance to the proposed Alpine Acres subdivision <br />consisting of 202 townhouse units. Changing the subject properties land use designation to <br />medium density residential appears to be compatible with the existing land use designations in <br />the surrounding area. <br /> <br />City Staff recommends approval of the Comprehensive Plan Amendment contingent upon the <br />applicant receiving a rezoning to R-2 Medium DensityResidential and upon preliminary plat and <br />site plan approval for Alpine Acres 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend that the City Council adopt the resolution approving the request and <br />authorizing staff to submit the Comprehensive Plan Amendment. to Metropolitan Council <br />contingent upon the applicant receiving a rezoning to R-2 Medium Density residential and upon <br />preliminary plat and site plan approval of Alpine Acres 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />-or- <br /> <br />Motion to recommend that the City Council deny the request for a Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />Principal Planner <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br />Copies to: <br />City Administrator <br />City Attorney <br /> <br />PC: 06/05/03 <br />
