<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />APPENDIX B <br />ORDINANCE #89-21 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 150.01 KNOWN AS THE SEWAGE DISPOSAL <br />SYSTEMS CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 150.01 OF THE CITY CODE. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey Ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT. <br /> <br />Section 150.01 of the Ramsey City Code pertaining to on-site treatment systems is amended to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />150.01.4E DOSING DEVICES FOR PRESSURE DISTRffiUTIONS. <br /> <br />1. The dosing device shall be a pump which is cast iron or bronze fitted and with <br />stainless steel screws or constructed of sound, durable and corrosion-resistant <br />materials. <br /> <br />2. The pump discharge capacity shall be at least seven and one-half gallons per minute <br />for each 100 square feet of soil treatment area. <br /> <br />3. The pump discharge head shall be at least five feet greater than the head required to <br />overcome pipe friction losses and the elevation difference between the pump and the <br />distribution device. <br /> <br />4. The quantity of effluent delivered for each pump cycle shall be no greater than 25 <br />percent of the one day's sewage flow. <br /> <br />5. An alarm device shall be installed to warn of pump failure. <br /> <br />6. A siphon will not be allowed as a dosing device to deliver effluent to a pressure <br />distribution system. <br /> <br />7. The dosing chamber for a pressure distribution system shall eitherinclude a two <br />pump system or shall be sized to include a minimum reserve capacity of 75 percent <br />of the daily design flow. <br /> <br />Section 150.01.4H of the Ramsey City Code pertaining to alternative treatment systems in the <br />urban service areas is amended to read as follows: ' <br /> <br />150.01.4F. FINAL TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL - STANDARD SYSTEM. <br /> <br />Final treatment and disposal of all sewage tank effluent shall be by means of soil treatment and <br />disposal. <br /> <br />SUBDIVISION 1.
