Distribution of effluent over the filter material shall be one and one-fourth (1-114) <br />inch diameter perforated pipe under pressure from a manifold. <br /> <br />16. The quantity of effluent per pump dose shall be at least one hundred fIfty (150) <br />gallons per bedroom for dwellings. For other establishments, the dose shall be at <br />least twenty-five per cent (25%) of the estimated or measured daily sewage flow. <br /> <br />17. At least two (2) inches of filter material shall be placed over the distribution pipes. <br />The top of the filter material shall be level in all directions. <br /> <br />18. Straw or marsh hay to an uncompacted depth four (4) inches shall be placed over <br />the f1lter material. <br /> <br />19. Construction vehicles shall not be allowed on the fIlter material until backfill is <br />placed. <br /> <br />20. Sandy loam soil shall be placed on the filter material to a depth of one (1) foot in the <br />center of the mound and to a depth of six (6) inches at the sides. <br /> <br />21. A maximum of two (2) ten (10) foot wide beds may be installed side by side in a <br />single mound if the soil percolation rate is between five (5) and sixty (60) minutes <br />per inch to a depth of at least twenty-four (24) inches below the sandy layer. The <br />beds shall be separated by four (4) feet of clean sand. <br /> <br />22. When two (2) beds are installed side by side, the sandy loam fIll atthe center of the <br />mound shall be eighteen (18) inches deep and six (6) inches deep at the sides. <br /> <br />23. Six (6) inches shall be placed on the f1ll material over the entire area of the mound. <br /> <br />24. A grass cover shall be established over the entire area of the mound. <br /> <br />25. No shrubs shall be planted on the top of the mound. Shrubs may be placed at the <br />foot and side slopes of the mound. <br /> <br />26. The side slopes on the mound shall be no steeper than three (3) to one (1). <br /> <br />27. Whenever mounds are located on slopes, a diversion shall be constructed <br />immediately upslope from the mound to intercept and direct runoff. <br /> <br />28. A vertical inspection pipe at least 1-113 inches in diameter must be installed in each <br />drainfIeld rock layer of every mound. The inspection pipe must have three-eighths <br />inch or larger perforations spaced vertically no more than six inches apart. At least <br />two perforations must be located in the rock layer. The inspection pipe must extend <br />to the bottom of the rock layer and must be capped flush with or above fInishedfgrade. <br /> <br />30.
