This amendment is in response to the Metropolitan Council <br />request contigent with the approval of the City's major plan amendment dated October 21, 1993. <br />This major amendment resulted in an expansion of the City's MUSA by 442 net developable acres. <br /> <br />This approval required that the City develop and implement certain policies or policy changes with <br />regard to the following areas: <br /> <br />1. The current on-site septic system inspection policy and program. The City will be <br />developing a program to fulfill the requests that the Metropolitan Council has <br />suggested. This program will be forwarded to Council staff within the next 9 <br />months and formal implementation will occur during that time period. <br /> <br />2. The City will be reviewing, with Metropolitan Council staff guidance, the <br />requirements for an acceptable housing strategy, designed to fulfill the regional <br />policies for life-cycle and affordable housing within Ramsey and the surrounding <br />communities. <br /> <br />3. The City will work with the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission to update its <br />Tier II Comprehensive Sewer Plan. City staff is scheduled to meet with MWWC <br />staff on February 22, 1995 to complete the required changes. <br /> <br />4. The City will be enacting the airspace height restrictions as directed by the <br />Metropolitan Council. Attached ordinance will become effective on February 10, <br />1995. <br /> <br />5. The City will also continue to assist and encourage the proposed improvements in <br />the revised Anoka County Transportation plan as approv~ on September 16, 1994 <br />by Anoka County, and submitted on October 3, 1994 by the City of Ramsey. <br />
