Low -and- needs due to its classification in the development Frame - <br />Moderate work. Since there is no allocation, the following figures <br />Income are points of information only: <br />Housing <br />1) Currently, private low- and - moderate income <br />housing units account for 10.3% of the City of <br />Ramsey's total housing stock. <br />2) In other similar communities, similar housing <br />accounts for 20% of total stock. <br />3) In the Metropolitan Area as a whole, such <br />housing accounts for 33% of total housing <br />stock. <br />HOUSING The Metropolitan Council has allocated a goal of 364 new <br />INVENTORY - modest -cost housing units for the City of Ramsey over the <br />c. Modest- next 10 year planning period (1980- 1990). This is Ramsey's <br />Cost portion of the over -all metropolitan area need for 35,310 <br />Housing units within that period. <br />Factors leading to this allocation include the following: <br />1) Ramsey's proportion of modest -cost single- <br />family units was 45% in 1970.
