Included with the amendment was the City Council's
intent to resolve the rural residential density issue. To date,
the Planning Commission and City Council continue to discuss this
issue and have reached no solution.

Therefore, I am requesting tha~ the Metropolitan Council extend
its review period for the City's proposed amendment from the
original July 26, 1988 deadline to a September 23, 1988 deadline
to allow the Ramsey City Council time to adopt a rural
residential density policy.

As always, please feel free to call me if you have any questions
or need additional information on this. Thank you for your
consideration of this request.

Yours truly,

Direc tor
