The 1990 MUSA has approximately 200 acres of commercially zoned undeveloped land, thus no new COn\nlercial acreage is proposed for the year 2000. This is proposed to be offset by rezoning a parcel of 38 a.cres from commercial to residential. The net effect is that commercial acreage will remain the same. The Ri~hway 10 study done in s 1987 indicates that industrial land absorptio:n may rea.ch 25 acres per year. It is assumed that 75% of this growth will occur within the urban area with the remainder in the unsewered area of.the City.. The lanG requiremel1t:s for.year year 2000 plus a five year reserve are thUS projected at. approximately 320 acres with 180 acres currently undeveloped in the MUSA. The 2000 MUSA is proposed to be expanded to include an additional 140 acres of industrial zoned land. Table ~ summarized the available supply of land within the 1990 MUSA and the proposed change for the year 2000. The MUSA is proposed to be expanded by approximatelY 400 acres yielding a total of 930 developable acres. The proposed expansion provides a slight surplus of residential area, a slight deficiency in industrial area and commercial area remains the same as currently in the 1990 MUSA.
