Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 RE: Ramsey Comprehensive Plan Amendment Review 1990 MUSA Exchange Metropolitan Council District 9 Metropolitan Council Referral No. 13834-4 Dear Mr. Hartley: The Metropolitan Council staff has reviewed the proposed Ramsey comprehensive plan amendment received by the Council on April 18, 1989. We have determin~d that the proposed amendment presents a potential impact on the metropolitan system plctns, specifically on the metropolitan sewer system. The Council needs to review the city's proposed plan amendment to determine its impact on the capacity of the Anoka Sewage Treatment Plant. A proposed amendment that has a potential impact on metropolitan systems may not be put into effect by the local government until the Council review is complete. The law allows the Council 90 days from receipt of the proposed amendment to complete its review. If the Council requires a modification to the proposed amendment, the amendment may not be put into effect until the Council has approved the modification. The 90-day review period ends on July 17, 1989. Within that 90-day period, Council staff will complete a review of the proposed plan amendment and submit a draft copy to the city prior to consideration by the Metropolitan and Community Development Committee.
